European power prices ease as gas markets weaken

The Arctic has become the powerhouse for Russia’s LNG ambitions, underpinned by Novatek. Russia has an even stronger urgency to develop LNG since the loss of its main gas market, Europe. To boost LNG production and exports (100 Mt by 2030), Russia has decided to liberalise LNG exports, highlighting the shift in preferential treatment between Gazprom and Novatek.
