European power prices ease as gas markets weaken

In 2022 Europe produced 21 bcm of biogases which represents 6% EU natural gas consumption. Europe has doubled biomethane production in the past few years. Only last year, biomethane production grew to 44 TWh (4.2 bcm). This represents growth of almost 20%. The decarbonisation of gas has a vital role to play in enabling the EU to achieve its climate targets.
