European power prices ease as gas markets weaken

Azerbaijan is the world’s 28th-largest oil and gas producer. It has been increasing exports with gas shipments rising more than 13% in the first seven months of 2024. Expanding production comes as European countries continue seeking to reduce dependence on Russian gas.
