European power prices ease as gas markets weaken

In the fourth quarter of 2018 EU gas consumption was 3% less than in same period of 2017. This was the third quarter in row when year-on-year gas consumption decreased. In 2018 as a whole, gas consumption in the EU was 474 bcm, down by 1.8% compared to 2017, when it amounted to 483 bcm. By: DG Energy (European Commission)
