European power prices ease as gas markets weaken

After one year of (varying) pandemic-related restrictions, the author looks back on the last year and also looks ahead to what’s in store. Overall the pandemic does not seem to have hurt gas consumption in Germany, since gas-fired power plants are running above pre-crisis levels. This is a 2 page market briefing.
