Week 15th-21st February: Milder weather for the rest of the week. Temperatures will continue to rise over Europe, and all that snow and ice will start to melt. Above normal temperatures will lead to flooding.
Week 22nd-28th February: The week will start with above normal values in Europe. We expect a possible low across UK, north France, Netherlands, North Sea and Germany, favouring high wind generation. Temperatures will decrease from above values to normal and the end of the week.
Weeks 1st-15th March: Our indicators continue showing a high pressure centred over Scandinavia and North Sea. Meanwhile new lows can affect mid-south Europe. This pattern over Europe can set a stage for a potentially significant cold outbreak spreading into Scandinavia, and then towards central Europe.
We expect a period of anomalous cold across much of Europe. Possible T2m max/min anomaly -8 to -10ºC over UK, Germany, Poland, Scandinavia and east part of Europe.
