Europe passed an important milestone in September: yearly apparent European gas demand fell below levels equivalent to a 20% decrease from 2021 for the first time and it has been continuing its steady decrease since then.
In 2024 European demand remains on track to be a few percentage points below 2023 levels, assuming similar weather conditions in the coming months.
